A simple marriage turns to mayhem as lovers conspire to catch unfaithful lovers in Mozart's opera buffa, first performed in 1786. When the valet Figaro learns from his fiance Susanna that their employer Count Almaviva has been flirting with her, they concoct a plan to trap him in his desires. The plot thickens with more secret desires, another proposal for Figaro, and of course, the wedding ceremony. Rooted in the great tradition of Bulgarian opera, the Bulgarian State Opera Company is selected from the best of Bulgarian musicians, singers and dancers. The company was founded in 1996 by Ivan Kyurkchiev, the General Manager of the State Opera House in Rousse since 1995.

The National Philharmonic of Russia (NPR) maintains the cultural traditions of Russia while moving toward an innovative future. Most of the orchestra's talent is found through conductor Vladimir Spivakov's International Foundation. The youth of the NPR has allowed for freedom in programming, from the traditional works of Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov to the Moscow premiere of Howard Shore's Lord of the Rings Symphony.
